Dr Christina Smit (Dr Chris)
Small Animal Veterinarian. Director.
Local girl Dr Chris completed her undergraduate veterinary training at Murdoch University in 2005. From there she worked as a farm vet in Pinjarra until injury sent her back to small animals. Dr Chris also holds a Masters in Veterinary Science. Her main passion is surgery, but she enjoys all aspects of working in this wonderful field. Dr Chris is a current Fear Free Certified Veterinary Professional.
Dr Jessica Jackson (Jess)
Another local, Dr Jess loves horses, and dogs, and cats... she really loves them all.
Dr Sherrilynn Wakefield
Dr Sherrilyn helps us out part time (Tuesdays & Wednesdays). She spent her early career down south working with cows, horses, sheep and other livestock along with the pets of the locals. Between Dr Jess, Dr Sherrilyn & Dr Yi Jia we have a large animal vet available nearly all the time. Non emergency cattle visits are booked with Dr Sherrilyn on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Dr Duncan Hargest
Dr Duncan founded our hospital at its current address and has served the local community for many years. His sage advice and calm visage can still be found here at Mundaring Vet Hospital, though he now spends more time with his own pets and the garden. Sensible man.
Dr Yi Jia Goh
Dr Yi Jia graduated from the University of Melbourne and started her career in an emergency hospital. She is also a Fear Free Certified Professional. Since then, she has taken some time off to start her family and is rejoining general practice with us in mid July. Dr Yi Jia is currently undertaking further studies in medicine and is hoping to obtain her GP Certificate in Small Animal Medicine. Dr Yi Jia is a lovely fresh face with a love for all creatures big and small.
