Dr Christina Smit (Dr Chris)
Small Animal Veterinarian. Director.
In clinic on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays & shared Saturdays.
Local girl Dr Chris completed her undergraduate veterinary training at Murdoch University in 2005. From there she worked as a farm vet in Pinjarra until injury sent her back to small animals. Dr Chris also holds a Masters in Veterinary Science. Her main passion is surgery, but she enjoys all aspects of working in this wonderful field. Dr Chris is a current Fear Free Certified Veterinary Professional.
Dr Jessica Jackson (Jess)
Veterinarian
In clinic every other Monday, Tuesdays, Fridays & shared Saturdays.
Dr Jess is back from maternity leave and back in the swing of things. New blurb coming soon.


Dr Sherrilynn Wakefield
Veterinarian
In clinic Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & shared Saturdays.
Dr Sherrilyn is considered by many to be our most outgoing staff member! She spent her early career down south working with cows, horses, sheep and other livestock along with the pets of the locals. Cattle visits are booked with Dr Sherrilyn on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays.
Dr Duncan Hargest
Senior Veterinarian
In clinic Wednesday mornings & sometimes when he sees we need a helping hand (holidays ect).
Dr Duncan founded our hospital at its current address and has served the local community for many years. His sage advice and calm visage can still be found here at Mundaring Vet Hospital (mostly on Wednesday mornings), though he now spends more time with his own pets and the garden. Sensible man.



Dr Beth Gallagher
Veterinarian
In clinic Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & shared Saturdays. Fridays until mid-September.
Dr Beth is a real Jack of All Trades! She brings a wealth of experience in farm animal practice after spending much of her formative years milking cows. Dr Beth has a soft spot for pretty much every animal and is happy to help where she can from horses to rabbits and everything in-between. You'll spot her in the clinic wearing colourful scrubs.

Dr Jessica Eldridge
Veterinarian
Thursdays from mid-September...
Dr Jessie graduated from Murdoch University in 2018 and loves all creatures great and small but has a soft spot for the little critters including rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, mice and backyard poultry. She is also known for her love of small cranky dogs, her favourite breed is the Pomeranian. Jessie has completed further training in laboratory pathology with a focus on large animals and wildlife, and has a special interest in diagnosis including lumps, bumps & infectious diseases.
Jessie is owned by one spicy Pomeranian, 2 elderly cats and three guinea pigs.

Dr Olivia Ashworth
Locum Veterinarian Extraordinaire
Dr Olive has a special interest in rehabilitation and enjoys volunteer work for Vets Beyond Borders. Olive is working with us while Dr Jess is working reduced hours with her little one at home.
